Update on Zoe (5th Pre-Natal Check-up)

Date: December 5

Stats: 

Age of gestation: 30 wks. (7.5 mos.)

BP 100/70

Month before  100/80

Weight 117

Last month 117 (Didn't gain any weight...)

Prescriptions:

Duvadilan - for the mild contraction (taken only when experiencing hardness in the belly)

Calcium - once a day after dinner

OB's advise - drink plenty of water...

On my last pre-natal check-up, we found out my baby was breech (suhi), hence the nickname...

Today at my ultrasound, she's still breech and to make it more complicated, she's not in the usual breech position wherein the head is on top, she is in a transverse lie or nakahalang...

No wonder my bump is quite big, and the endless kicks all over my belly... 

We still have a good 7 weeks to see if she's gonna position herself head first thru the birth canal...

But if not, we already arranged plans for a C-Section around 3rd to 4th week of January...

4th Prenatal Check-up

Date: November 7

Stats: 

Age of gestation: 25 wks. (6mos.)

Gained 2lbs in a month (which is just an ideal weight gain according to my doctor), glad that not an ounce of weight is anywhere but my belly.

I'm 25 weeks pregnant going 26 and at my last antenatal appointment, my OB reckoned the baby was breech, hopefully she turns before my expected date of delivery otherwise i'll be having a c-section operation... I'm not bothered by the thought of a C-section to be honest - I think it will be a relief for me as I have been dreading giving birth naturally again (after almost 16 years with my firstborn). I am trying to work on my fears though, so hopefully if I have to give birth naturally, I will be able to cope and handle my fears. 

I am now not sure of the position of the baby. My abdomen feels hard high up on both sides  - felt like 2 heads - it was really confusing!! 

My left rib is very sore at certain times of the day - my OB says its when the baby is stretching its arms and your rib contracts and it feels like you want to lift it to stop the ache. 

I am also getting kicks in my lower pelvic area - like she was trying to kick my pelvic joint, hard enough to feel like punches... I guess I have a little tap dancer on my bladder! Very painful at times I had to wince...

Fingers crossed, I am hoping my little one turns - my OB said there is no point in worrying at this stage because in most cases, the baby eventually turns. 

Also I have read some articles with some exercises that are meant to encourage turning like spending lots of time on all fours with your bum in the air. I think I'm gonna have to try that...

2nd Prenatal Check-up

Date: Sept.8

Age of gestation: 17 wks (4months 1 week)

Weight: 113lbs.

Procedure done: Ultrasound

Highlight: Dad and Gabe were with me and we found out we're having a GIRL! Yay!

1st Prenatal Check-up

Date: August 8

Went to my first visit to the OB today, very long line had to wait for more than an hour for my turn to get checked ... Found out I am now on my 13th week of pregnancy (3.5mos) and due on the 11th of February 2015...

Procedure done: Ultrasound

Had the first glimpse of our precious via the ultrasound video, saw the baby's head, backbones and heartbeat! It was unbelievably amazing! My first time to experience it, never had the chance for an ultrasound when I was pregnant with Gabe...

Highlight: Saw the already formed baby (including the head and the backbone) and it's fast heartbeat...

Age of gestation: 3 mos. 2weeks

Dr.'s advice: Drink plenty of water...

After some packing last Sunday, we were all tired (well, in reality, only the hubs got tired coz he did all the packing, I just watched while lying on the couch, lol!)

We took a nap and after waking up asked me kung anong gusto kong kainin and offered to buy for me... 

He was hesitant to buy raw, concerned that the itsura of the mais could have an effect on the appearance of the baby, baka raw maging batik-batik, hahaha!

In effect, he was thinking I'd get disappointed pag wala siyang nabili so, he went ahead buying in spite of...

Food cravings? Hmmmm!!!

I believe I'm lucky and blessed to have an easy pregnancy just like I had with Gabe almost 16 years ago... During the first trimester, I didn't/don't experience the usual morning sickness and vomiting, the crankiness and mood swings, the food cravings, although I'd think of a certain food on a whim, like the time I can't stop thinking about LUMPIANG SHANGHAI or spring roll and what do you know, when we went to IKEA they have it!

And I've been eating 2 corns a day...

I don't eat too much rice now, I eat coco balls ( cereal) with lots of milk anytime of the day... And everytime I go to the groceries, I only buy fruits, like the other day I saw sliced pineapples and ate it on the way home :-)

What I did today: Went to SZ Notary Public Office, had to walk/run in the middle of the day (11:30am and 3:00pm) under the sun....

Dreams

Had my first dream about the baby, it was moving like crazy inside my belly and it was showing off like a pear-shaped thingy... Funny!

What I did today... Went to Tian Bei to look for the Notary Public office, took the taxi to and from there... Then went to Sitic Bldg near KK Mall... Need to take Gabe's birth certificate... Will come back tomorrow...

I remember writing this down in a Facebook post at the start of the new year...

And what do you know? 

We are pregnant! 

The Lord never ceases to amaze me! 

To backtrack a little, we've been trying for the last 3 years (since 2011) and was not successful, and just when we thought we're done, just when we thought we'll only have an only child, just when wedecided to stop trying, God decides na mag-PASABOG! It's like we plan and God laughs! Haha, galing ni Lord talaga! And what perfect timing it was..

 God's time is really the perfect time... Can't argue with that...

Side note: For 2 months, i have missed my period and apart from the fact that I am having constant pain at even the slightest touch and swelling in my breasts, I did not experience anything at all... Everything was normal with my body, the hubs has been urging me to take the pregnancy test kit which we had lying around in our bathroom which we bought 3 years ago (it was that old so I figured it's way past the effective date, and sure enough expired na nga!), i took the test anyway and it registered two red lines but since expired na nga, we want to take another test just to make sure...

And it's CONFIRMED! Another unexpected blessing... Thank you Lord!
